Whitsunday Holidays began with a single property in 2003 but a ton of dedication, travel experience, and a passion for the tourism industry. Hamilton Island in particular. We were doing what we loved and excited to grow a portfolio that matched the opportunity we saw to take advantage of being on-the-ground locals. From Day One this was a vital driving force for its appeal to both accommodation owners and guests.
Hamilton Island has changed so much in the last 20 years. It had to. Like most industries, growth in the tourism industry is dictated by the demands of its customers. The increasing availability of self-contained options on Hamilton Island, and the freedom this represented, began to attract families and groups holidaying together. The island itself changed dramatically with the addition of a 6-star resort – Qualia – a world class Golf Club, Yacht Club and other improvements that grew Hamilton Island’s reputation and delivered opportunities for high end events that to this day are recognised on international sporting and tourism calendars.
The Whitsundays deserves its place as one of the world’s most desirable, authentic and scenic tropical destinations. Yet it is the destination itself that can dish up the most challenging of times. Cyclone Debbie in 2017 had a devastating effect on the physical landscape and put the holiday plans of so many of our guests into disarray. With border closures and international travel grounded, Covid dished up an entirely different set of circumstances. Still, in times like this we do what we’ve become best known for – we deliver first class service.
It’s no coincidence that so many of our guests keep coming back to us for recommendations, bookings and reliable service. We have a reputation for being the ones to book through for first class customer service and a luxury product. The fact that we know each of our luxury homes, self-contained apartments and tour options personally, inside and out. Knowing that we are flexible to adapt to the needs and changes of our guests. A local, boutique team of Hamilton Island experts able to take charge of all the arrangements and available 7 days a week. It’s what sets us apart.
