Lagoon 101

Perfect Location

Lagoon Lodge is the perfect location, tucked away at the far end of Catseye Beach. Our 2 bedroom apartment was located on the first floor Lagoon 101. The apartment was spacious and accommodated 2 couples comfortably with each having their own ensuite, bedroom and privacy. The living areas were well equipped and tastefully furnished. The balcony stretched across the full double frontage of the apartment and a double day bed was most welcome to soak up the views.

The apartment was clean and tidy and also included the additional convenience of an electric golf buggy to get around and see the sights. We stayed 14 nights and had the additional mid stay clean and linen change complimentary as part of our package.

There are two pool options, one shared with guests of Hibiscus Lodge and the other shared with guests of Frangipani Lodge. We chose the Hibiscus pool and it was delightful. I suspect we were not staying at a busy time and in most cases had the entire pool to ourselves. It was immaculately clean and tidy as were the surrounding gardens, our compliments to the ground staff who also emptied our bins daily.

Plenty of wildlife, kookaburras, kangaroos and the cockatoos which can be a pest if people insist on feeding them or leave food around. The location of this unit is very handy to walk the fringing coral reef which sits just out the front and the beach is lovely. Easy access to walking trails which can be quite challenging as we found out.

Hamilton Island is a delight, all the staff are friendly and go out of their way to help tourists. We had a wonderful time and hope to visit again in the future.
