Aroona was launched in late 2010 and is a 70ft motor yacht, cruising out of Half Moon Bay Marina at Yorkeys Knob, Cairns in far north Queensland. She has been designed for customer comfort, optimising space with a luxurious finish, all in a vessel that travels smoothly.

Before you immerse yourself in the wonders of the Great Barrier Reef and the Whitsundays and the many activities it offers, you can get comfortable on board Aroona. The interior is fitted with beautiful timbers and splashes of colour, creating a unique style of class and comfort.
She can comfortably sleep up to 7 guests in three state rooms, each with ensuites: master suite (2 guests), VIP suite (2 guests) and guest room (3 guests). Aroona is ideally set up for three couples or six singles or a combination of both.
Each state room and lounge has Flat screen LCD televisions with satellite TV and DVD players. On board is the latest communications systems, including of course the internet, which can be accessed by the guests over most of the Great Barrier Reef.
All cabins have individually controlled air conditioning and the boat has three spacious living areas spread over no less than three decks.
The outdoor dining and wet bar area allows the guests to fully unwind after a big day of fishing, snorkelling, diving or even windsurfing, whilst anchored behind one of the numerous outer reefs. There is no better place to watch the sun set whilst enjoying a cold drink and recapping on the days adventures.
The ocean is at your mercy and the crew are keen to accommodate you if you have a specific destination in mind, discover and explore the isles from Cape York to the Whitsundays or stop on a popular tourist island. It’s up to you! Whatever your choice of destination, length of stay or activities, Aroona’s friendly crew will use their local knowledge and expertise to create the perfect holiday for you!
Our professional Chef will ensure that you enjoy each private dining experience while happily catering to any special dietary requirements. Of course, you can speak to the Chef about having your catch of the day prepared for your evening meal!

Day and overnight charters available – POA
Aroona is ideally set up for three couples or six singles or a combination of both. Our day trips we can take up to 12 guests and the overnight trips we can sleep 7 in the luxury accommodation layout or our master cabin converts into a 4 bunk cabin to accommodate up to 9 guests.
These prices include snorkeling, equipment, fishing equipment, sea kayak and motorized water sports. The above charter rate includes food, soft drinks and juice. The rate does not include alcohol. This is purchased at the guests request and charged at cost.
